A small, but robust skink (65 mm SVL, Jewell 2008). Dorsal surfaces grey brown to mid-brown, usu. uniform or with weak light or dark blotches. Head with some prominent black specks. Dorso-lateral stripe present on forebody, pale, edged in black. Lateral surfaces grey-brown or brown, usu. uniform or with sparse lighter and darker flecking. Ventral surfaces yellowish sometimes with reddish siffusions, usu. uniform but may have some speckles. Throat cream with some speckles. 'Teardrop' marking present beneath eye. Lamellae 21-23. Head deep-set, snout short, blunt.
